40^TH PEF FAMILY EVANGELISM CONFERENCE

YOUTH MINISTRY DIVISION

          Thank you so much for your interest in the PEF Conference. We have included an outline of the schedule for the week; there might be some slight adjustments in the week due to weather. This, however, will give you a good understanding of our time together.

          Our featured speaker for the week will be Rev. Rick Light. Rev. Light is the pastor of Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church in Bristol, TN. He is also the Executive Director of PEF.  Rev. Light will be speaking during our morning Bible Study Hour on THE MYTH OF ADOLESCENCE - we can bust our culture's lies by looking at what God's Word prove teens are capable of; DO HARD THINGS - adopting the mindset of a Christian is the first step towards taking our teen years back from the culture; CHARACTER COUNTS - competence without character is dangerous, character without competence is weak; THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR - understanding the power of companionship and creating a dedicated counter-culture are keys to withstanding the mainstream that is against you as a Christian.

          Mr. Wesley Payton will be our Youth Leader this year. Wesley is from Oxford, GA and has been the Youth leader for 3 years now.

          The youth will have a youth seminar led by Mr. Joshua Stewart and will be encouraged to attend the seminars with their groups or parents. This is a family conference and the youth need to see that their parents need and want to learn. Please encourage your youth to attend with you, or vice versa.

          For our youth who attend the conference, we plan seminars and events that will teach them more about the Lord and how to serve Him while getting to know each other better and having a great time of fun and fellowship. It is a great time of spiritual renewal and a sense of Christian fellowship away from the world and distractions. The Bible Hour speakers and seminar leaders are men who are actively involved in building the Kingdom and are strong the Faith. Throughout the week we plan activities in the afternoon such as volleyball, basketball, flag football, and kickball tournaments and swimming. In the evening we have games like capture the flag, a movie night we call the car-less drive-in and we go off campus and rent a bowling alley. The week promises to be a great one filled with the goodness of the Lord and fellowship you will only find with fellow believers. We have individual families come but we also encourage you to bring your whole youth group.
